Alarm.com V730 4MP Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera

Description

The Alarm.com ADC-V730 is the wired counterpart to the battery-powered V731B — built for locations where a dedicated power run is available and 24/7 reliability matters more than flexible placement. It delivers 4MP HDR video up to 2688×1520 resolution over dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), giving it faster, more stable connectivity than earlier Alarm.com camera generations, along with an IP66-rated housing for standing up to outdoor conditions.

Where the V730 distinguishes itself is in its combination of a built-in white spotlight and onboard recording. The spotlight can trigger automatically on motion, switching the camera from grayscale IR night vision to full color and doubling as a visible deterrent — a look-here signal to anyone approaching after dark. Alongside that, an SD card slot enables Onboard Recording with Smart View, capturing continuous, encrypted local footage that doesn’t depend on cloud storage or an internet connection to keep recording, while still supporting cloud clip storage through the Alarm.com app or integration with a compatible Stream Video Recorder for larger installations.

Detection is handled by Alarm.com’s Video Analytics, which distinguishes between people, animals, and vehicles within customizable motion zones, cutting down on alerts triggered by irrelevant movement. Perimeter Guard® and manually triggered warning sounds add another layer of proactive deterrence beyond the spotlight itself, and two-way audio lets a homeowner or business speak through the camera in real time. Power comes from an included 12V DC adapter, and the camera is rated for a wide operating range of -58°F to 122°F, making it suitable for extreme climates as well as typical residential and light commercial installs. Setup is straightforward — run the power cable, mount with the included hardware, and enroll through the Alarm.com app.
