Yale Assure Lever
The Yale Assure Lever is an all-in-one smart keypad lock for single-hole doors without a deadbolt — ideal for side entries, garages, and interior rooms. It offers keyless PIN entry, auto-lock, and optional Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, or Zigbee connectivity for remote access and app-based control.
Description
The Yale Assure Lever is built for a door type most smart locks ignore: the single-hole prep, with no deadbolt, no separate latch, and no extra handle to coordinate. It’s a true all-in-one replacement — the keypad, lever, and lock mechanism live in one unit that swaps in for an existing lever or knobset with just a screwdriver, making it a natural fit for side entries, garage doors, basements, home offices, and other interior or secondary doors.
Entry is code-based: punch a PIN into the backlit or touchscreen keypad, pull the lever, and the door opens — no keys required day to day, though keyed models include a mechanical override so a dead 9V backup battery or a malfunction never means being locked out. Codes can be created and deleted per person, so access can be granted or revoked without rekeying anything. Auto-lock keeps the door secured by default, and privacy mode, volume, and re-lock timing can all be adjusted from the lock’s own menu.
On its own, the Assure Lever runs as a fully standalone keypad lock. But it’s also built to grow: adding a Yale Smart Module unlocks Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, or Zigbee connectivity and brings the door into the Yale Access app, where it can be locked, unlocked, and monitored remotely, shared with guests on a schedule, and paired with Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri. Because the module is swappable rather than built-in, switching wireless protocols later doesn’t mean buying a new lock. Construction is ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 certified, fits doors 1-3/8″ to 1-3/4″ thick with an adjustable 60-70mm backset, and reversible handing means one model fits either a left- or right-handed door. A rubber gasket protects the door’s finish during installation, and the lock is backed by a lifetime warranty on finish and mechanical hardware, plus one year on electronics.
